State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi expressed thanks to the people for their understanding of the incumbent government, pledging that the one-year-old administration would continue to march on the road to establishing a federal union with eternal peace and introducing a new motto: “Together with the people”.

She also expressed her thanks to the people for their patience and understanding of her government in its first year amid criticisms of the NLD government.
Regarding the achievements by the NLD-led government in the past year, she said her government promulgated laws that could give protection to the people. At the same time, the government changed or removed some laws that used to suppress the people.
