Nine People on board a motorboat who are assumed to be citizens of Bangladesh were arrested in Myanmar waters by security forces on Wednesday. Found on board was the body of a man. Security forces found the motorboat adrift about two nautical miles from Zee gone village beach, 18 miles North of Gwa town, Rakhine state. The motor boat is 25 feet long, 6 feet wide and 8 feet high.
When interrogated, the nine suspects admitted that they are Bangladeshis and that they left Kolkata on 13 January. Their motor boat broke down on 28 January. One of the 10 men died from starvation. The nine arrested Bangladeshis were detained at the Gwa township police station and the corpse was sent to Gwa township general hospital for postmortem examination.
