A man who was detained on suspicion of involvement in the violent attacks in October and November last year in northern Rakhine State died on Wednesday at the hospital in Buthidaung, rakhine State, while receiving medical care for inflammation of the stomach.

Mammud Rawphi, also known as Mummad Arlaung, was sent to the hospital by security forces at 7 pm on Monday after he complained of stomach pain.
